Since I am a stay at home mom, I try to cook at home frequently to keep expenses down. I am not a horrible cook, but I am a “keep it simple stupid” cook. I run out of ideas on what to cook. From time to time, I like to find new recipes to try. I used to look through recipe books. I remember years ago, I would even check stacks of recipe books out of the library. Now, I don’t have to try to flip through all of those big books trying to find ideas for dinner. I can go online and find recipes. I like recipe sites that you can have an account to save your recipes that you like and want to go back and easily find. I like to read reviews from people who have made the recipes. It helps when they give their tips and what they thought needed tweaking in the recipe or directions. CookingSpot.com is a new recipe site that has all of this plus a way to create easy-to-use shopping lists and a forum to ask your cooking questions. If you have a great recipe that you want to share, you can submit it to CookingSpot.com!
When summer comes around, I always tend to rent more movies for the kids. The girls are allowed to stay up a little bit later. It gets so hot here in the summer, that the girls like to come inside for part of the day. The summer is usually when we get to watch movies that we wanted to see, but didn’t go to see in the movie theaters. I have already started to set up my movie list on Netflix.com.
